So I am trying to mod my crappy little ms-2. I want to add a switch that will make the headphone output an external speaker jack. I thought I could do this by simply shorting out the 510 ohm resistor that regulates the volume to headphone levels. I tried this, and when I hooked it up to a speaker, you could barely hear it when the resistor was shorted, and not at all when it wasn't. On headphones, the shorting switch made it much louder. So why doesn't it play out of a speaker? I know this thing has enough power to be pretty loud, because I connected a 12" pa speaker to where the built in speaker used to be connected, and it it was very loud. Any ideas? What should I do?
