So, I'm in a bit of a dilemma guys. I recently stumbled upon alot of money (that's not the dilemma of course!) And I can't figure out which guitar I want to buy.

First of all, I'm a huge fender fan and I know it's going to be a fender. I have been lusting after jazzmasters since highschool but I don't know if that's the right guitar for me. I want a really jangly and ringy sounding guitar, and I know telecasters are pretty good for that. I'm not planning on doing very much lead guitar type stuff but a little, mostly pretty fluttery chords.

My question: Can jazzmasters get a good ringy sound without switching anything out? Can it come close to the brightness of a tele?

Thanks!

Well didn't they/aren't they releasing a Buddy Holly strat? I'd imagine that's pretty jangly haha

If you're going to drop a lot of money on a guitar, you should definitely go and try a good amount out. You never know if you'll like something until you try it, after all.
