Looks like a Hagstrom Swede (http://www.hagstromguitars.com/Swede.html) but the bridge isn't the same. Maybe it's an older version?

It's brand new and going for 122 USD, so I took an interest.

That bridge on the one of the Hagstrom site just has a cover over the tailpiece.

.....seriously.....?

The Hagstrom Swede is 24.75" and the Super Swede is 25.5". The seller listed it as 25.5" so I'm guessing it's a Super Swede. Is this the steal I think it is? A super swede retails for USD$675 on MF.

Well yeah from what I can tell, the guitar that the guy is selling looks like it's just missing the pickgaurd, and it dosn't have the cover over the tail.

I would jump straight on that deal if I were you, especially as it's the 25.5 one.

At $120 I would buy it anyway - Hagstrom make quality guitars. It does just look like a regular TOM stoptail rather than the Hagstrom stoptail as shown in the web shots.

Actually here's something weird. He said it's made in China. Are Hagstroms made in China?

EDIT: Actually apparently they are. Seems alright still.

I'm not sure where they're made.
There has been a recent craze of fake guitars though hasn't there? Not to scare you or anything.

To be honest, even if it is fake it's still a good deal.

Yeah my suspicion is growing. If you look at the Super Swede ref. picture, you can see a little toggle by the volume/tone controls. It's absent in the seller's pic. In the Swede, there are two toggles, one on each side of the pickups. Again it's absent from the pic above.

Yeah, it's missing a toggle switch, it could be an older model though like you said.

Also, it dose just look like any old LP copy, with a Hagstrom headstock.

I don't really know enough about the brand to be certain though.

Hmmm, I'd not noticed the missing switch. I thought they only had one....

I just asked the seller about it. It's leftover stock from Hagstrom that had "non-original" machineheads, without the stoptail cover or pickguard. Probably a test batch that never made it to the shelves, or a guitar they forgot to complete.

That sounds dodgy to me to be honest.

But it's still probably worth the money.

Bah I won't bother with it. I found a used Fender MIM strat w/ Floyd Rose USD$155 just now. Can you believe that shit?

Pray it isn't some "leftover stock" like this one...

Local classifieds. The Fender is legit, just a bit worn.

Just look at it this way, it's a bitchin' looking guitar with the hagstrom headstock at the very least. $120 and probably a good set up it will be awesome.

Fenders look better worn anyway.

Can you get me some bitchin guitars for $100 and send them to England for me please? Cheers
