ok this is gonna be a nooby question. please bear with me. ive just got my 2 affordable dream guitars and started adjusting the action myself after 10yrs of playing.

i was wondering of anyone could point out the 2 scenarios of turning the truss rod beyond the point of no return on an electric.

i lowered the hell out of the action and when i went to set the relief there seems to be no tension in the truss rod anymore. could it have popped out of where it screws into?? can i get it back in??

so if anyone can help that would be great. thanks in advance

either your strings will hit the middle of your neck around the 9th to 15th fret

or your neck will be so bowed that it will feel like a harp.

is that what you want to know?

we don't even know what guitars you are talking about.

google truss rod adjustments for your guitar.
