my birthday is coming up so im deciding what i want to spend the money on...

so far i have thought about wah's, amps, trainsets, power-ranger action figures but none of them really seem to do it...

i have had a few guitars in the past year and i play a few different types of music but i want to broaden them even more.

at the moment i play classic rock, hard rock, metal but i want to go into playing some dream theater/new trivium stuff and i would also like to be able to be abit more creative with the stuff i am writing.

so yeah 7 string wanted...

any LP/super strat shape
any nice pickups really (EMG's prefered)
and preferably a tuneomatic style bridge
NO FLOYDE
not plain black aswell, a quilt top or something with an interesting graphic would be nice.

very strict budget of £600

so any ideas???

thanks in advance!

Most people will say Schecter. But I personaly hate the schecter necks, so I'm gunna say the Ibanez RGA7 or one of the Agile 7s.

Ive just ordered the damien elite 8.
but schecters do have thicker necks if youre used to thin ones try an ibanez rg7321 or rga7

If you can get past the fact it's satin black, the LTD MH-417 is also worth a look

I'm starting to see why the UGers from the UK are starting to get pissed off at Schecter fanboys.

http://www.thomann.de/gb/ibanez_rga7_bk.htm ?
http://www.thomann.de/gb/ibanez_s7420_bk.htm ?

Honestly, you're going to be hard pressed to find a QUALITY 7 not in plain black.

Flat out. My reccomendation goes to this:
http://www.thomann.de/gb/esp_ltd_viper_417_sbk.htm

The schecters are just overpriced. For example:
http://www.thomann.de/gb/schecter_damien_elite_7_fr_cr.htm

I dunno about you, but that bolt on joint looks miggghhttty ****ing big for a 7...

They need to make a 7 string in neon green or yellow thats not an expensive vai ibanez universe model. That is all.

It's not that they're expensive, alot of stuff over here is more expensive. It's just they're always recommended, and to me they just feel... average lol.

Another vote for the S7420 though

If you want thinner necks, don't get a schecter. They take mediocre guitars with thick necks, throw a bunch of flashy stuff on there, and sell them in the medium price range so every noob thinks he's found his wet dream guitar.

Think about how much the parts of the guitar would cost individually. That's why I suggest Ibanez.

yeah i see what you mean, ill have to find a dealer near me and try one out but by the looks of it you are right.
