Yes, the thread title is gramatically correct, thank you.

Anyway, we constantly talk about songs we'd love to hear covered by other bands, but what about songs you'd HATE to hear a cover version done?

This can be a 'epic' song which cannot be bettered, or a song you simply don't think needs another version.

Searched, nothing relevant came up.....go!

Any Beatles song. I mean, they probably are the most covered artist. (Yesterday is the most covered song of all time). But I have yet to hear a cover that is better. I guess I don't mind so much as long as it's more of a tribute or something. I think I'm rambling.

I'd say any song on metallica's Kill Em' All, that album had a unique energy by Hetfield that could not be covered.

Just about anything by Ensiferum, but specifically Victory Song. I'd probably have to shoot someone if they tried to do that.

I wouldn't mind hearing cover versions of any song. If they're good, it's all good. If they're bad, they're fun to laugh at and pick out the mistakes of.

I just don't like hearing covers of songs I don't like. Unless they're done by an artist I do like. In which case they aren't too bad.

Any Coheed song. I think that a cover would be ok, I'm just afraid the vocalist would try to imitate Claudio's voice.

I'd hate to hear any Gin Blossoms covers. Those guys are the mad notes, and I doubt anyone would ever be able to come close to their sound

I was about to say As by Stevie Wonder, but my uncle's band do a cover of it and it's great. Can't better the original though - don't think anything can.

I'd probably say Smells Like Teen Spirit is the one song no artist other than Nirvana should EVER play or cover..

Anything from Appetite for Destruction.

Nobody should cover any good Guns N' Roses song unless your band consists of Slash, Axl, Duff, Izzy, and Steven Adler.

Sheryl Crow already did a (not so good) Sweet Child O' Mine cover...

I don't think that about any song.

Covers always excite me if I know the song.
If music was the food of love I'd be a fat romantic slob.
