Ive got exams starting in a few days...
I have 4 pieces chosen
Bold As Love - John Mayer
Stockholm Syndrome - Muse
Laid to Rest - Lamb of God
The Audience Is Listening - Steve Vai

Anyone got any tips on how I should be preparing for my exams.. particularly right before the exam, my fingers get cold in the mornings and the exam will be held in a very cold room, nothing like playing live.

Any advice is much appreciated.

Bold As Love - Jimi Hendrix Experience

Fixed. But then, who hasn't covered Hendrix?

Anyway, you should make sure that you are as comfortable and relaxed as possible. Get a good night's sleep, and keep your fingers moving and warm all the way there.
Marshall amplifiers are the truest purveyors of rock and roll known to man.

"And give a man an amplifier and a synthesizer, and he doesn't become whoever, you know. He doesn't become us."

Holy crap, check this out!

A thorough warm-up a couple hours before should suffice, make sure your fingers are properly stretched and your picking hand is co-ordinated. Maybe wear gloves if the room is cold, then take them off before you play. By the time you notice the cold, hopefully your fingers will be warm from playing again

good luck with the exams btw

just make sure you fulfil what the examiners are looking for in your playing.

it`s know use playing pentatonics if the examiners are looking for your use of modes
