So, I'm in the market for an amp that sounds great at bedroom volumes. I play mostly hard rock/ 80s metal especially guns n roses, early metallica, ozzy, and other 80s rock/metal.

I don't have a cab so it needs to be a combo or something cheap but sounds great that I can buy a cab with. I really like the sound of marshalls so something voiced towards that would be a plus. i dont care for cheesy digital effects, just a simple hard rock tone. My budget is around $800usd but I can stretch for something thats really worth it.

You could easily find a used JCM 900 or maybe even an 800 for that price.

It's a trap!
Everyone is entitled to an opinion.

Feel free to express yours so I can make an informed judgement about how stupid you are.

Well, how about a ZVex Nano:

Add a 1x12" cab and you're good to go.

Or a Laney L5 Lionheart combo. 5w of awesomeness.

Add a boost to either for metulz.

But certainly, some of the US boutique builders have something in stock that would work for you? (I don't know that much about the amp market across the atlantic.)
