Cool Post.
I spent most of today writing licks in Dminor for a song.
I've been looking at a good bit of David Gilmour.
And Avenged Sevenfold too.
Pretty cool man, I liked it.
What I've been trying to do with my solos, is not just working out where to go next.
but when to go next.
Sometimes there's a gap or a change of phrasing in the solo or just a long held note.
Always changing speed.
You had some good examples.
I waffle on too much.
On playing the Paul Gilbert signature at the guitar store extensively, my missus sighed:
"Put it down now, It's like you love that guitar more than me!"
In Which I replied.
"Well it has got two F-Holes!"
