I've been googling this, but to no avail, so I thought I'd ask you guys.
I accidentally laid my Randall RG50TC on the back, when putting it in the back of a car, with the footswitch cable still in. When I went to play it later at home the footswitch wasn't working. When I took it out of the amp I noticed the end (the metal bit) was very loose, and it finally came out completely. Now from what I can see the pins inside the thing are simply broken. I don't if they can be, I don't know, soldered back together but I seriously doubt it. So I figured I'd just buy a new one, but the problem is, that it's a 6 pin MIDI cable. All I can find are 5 pin MIDI cables. Would one of those work with the footswitch? I live in Poland so I'd like avoid having to ship a cable from the US, but I guess I'd be fine with paying something like 20-30 bucks for the thing.
Thanks in advance

It may be hard to find, but ask your local music shop. A 5-pin should work for now, but whichever function is wired to the last pin won't work. Try searching for DIN 45322 cables, that's the proper designation for 6-pin MIDI.

EDIT: can you post a picture? There are actually tons of different connectors available and not all are exactly standardized.

Sure:

I'm going to try with a 5pin for now, if that doesn't work out - I found a web store locally that sells the connectors so I'll get those and have a cable made.

Unfortunately, a standard 5-pin MIDI cable will not work. These pins are spaced at a different rate than the usual. There is a 5-pin DIN connector that uses that pin spacing, but it'd probably just as hard to find as the 6-pin you're in search for. Sorry to say.

Yup. Those will work fine. Just make sure to solder the correct pins to the proper wires.
