I have an Ibanez sz520 - which i am sick of looking at with its ugly mud brown paint job. That and one of the edges took a nasty knock from a cymbal (angrily thrown), which also looks hideous.

My question, how the frick am I gonna do this without damaging anything? The binding is a bit stuffed from the cymbal so I think i'm gonna have to go for a solid colour bursting into some form of stain (i just can't hide that nice quilted maple)

Oh god this is gonna be a hell of a job.

I have stripped a neck thru and painted it. It is more of a pain in the butt just because the neck tends to be in the way when you want to flip it over or sit it a certain way to get at something. But its not a nightmare or anything.
