Ok so I have two basses. The oldest of which is experiencing some troubles. First off it's neck has bent up (if you lay it on the ground the neck is point up off the ground). This means there was a big gap between fret board and strings some of which I was able to slide my finger in between the string and the fret board unlike my other bass. Also there is some fret buzz around the 9th fret, most likely caused by the bent neck. I have tried a trus rod (spelling might be wrong) but have had no joy, any ideas on how to fix it, apart from a guitar shop.

Take it to a guitar shop.

You should try and get it fixed while it's not as bad, or the neck might get too bent and the problem will become unfixable.
