I currently own an Ibanez RG350DX & Peavey Vypyr 30

Playing.. Rock, Blues Rock, and pretty much anything but metal..?

Preferably 24 Frets, but if I Really like your recommended guitar, I will go for 22

Maple or Rosewood.

Looking into Ibanez currently.*

Budget: Under 900

I was wondering if..
Ibanez JS100
Cort NZS-1
Ibanez S570DXQM
would suit me..? :S

Definetly Not Buying :
Stratocaster <I really like the guitar, but..Not enough frets for songs I play
Gibson Guitars < Expensive, and not my style..? :S

Bit long. But thanks if you can help!

The RG350DX is actually pretty thick for metal. You should consider swapping amp or pickups before concluding that it does not fit

I just love the Ibanez S series, this may sound a bit biased but if i were you i would ge tthe S570DXQM, just check out some guitars at a local shop or guitarcenter and see what feels best to you and what sounds best to your ears.

Why is everyone recommending Jacksons when he said he doesnt really play metla, I'm going to break your rules you shouldn't limit yourself when there are plenty of option in Gibsons line up that go under $900, I would recomment looking into a Gibson SG Classic, used I see them go for about $700, check local craigslist etc... There's also a LP Studio. However, these are only 22 frets. Also, you might want to look into some schecters as the can cover a lot of ground. Hope this helps .

I guess I'll look into Gibson too.

Ohh. I actually forgot about Schecter guitars.
Which ones would you recommend from Schecter.

That is better than my Ibanez RG350DX, and is 600~900

I actually would look into a new amplifier.
But I just recently purchased my Vypyr.
And even with the 30 watt amp..
Going over volume 1 and a half is VERY loud for where I currently live.
I live in town houses, where all the houses are attatched together..

I am moving houses hopefully next year though.
So any bigger watts will totally blow my house apart.

i know you said no gibsons but honestly you cant beat the value you get out of either a faded sg or flying V i mean 600 bucks for all that tone. i love those things and they are imo the rock and blues tone and if you ever wanted an sg can do metal fairly easily. i dont think you should ever count out a guitar based on brand or look you kinda gotta hit the store and see what feels plays and sounds the best to you...just my two cents

you could get like a lower watt tube amp a krank or something for metal

A better question would be, do you really need another guitar, especially another Ibanez? Why not upgrade the one you have?

- Edge Pro
- Dimarzios
- new quality pots maybe
Dear God, do you actually answer prayers?

Yes, but only in a way indistinguishable from random luck or the result of your own efforts.

Ibanez S570DXQM

You should get that one! I used to own one, it was the most versatile guitar I'd ever had. You can play any genre/style on it! You might want to replace the stock pickups though. I actually miss mine a lot, I traded it some years ago for a crappy Boss GT-8... I feel so stupid

I've thought about new pickups.
But I was told that new pickups on my guitar, plugged into my Vypyr 30 wouldn't be much of a noticible different.
Thats what I was told, but which pickups would you recommend?
Super Distortion? :S

I'm not that knowledgeable about different pickup brands actually (I've been lucky to have been blessed with good pickups from the start in most my guitars), but I do know that Seymour Duncan and DiMarzio makes some good pickups. You should check out their websites and see which ones seem to fit you, it's up to opinion actually. Who knows, you might even like the ones that are in it already (though I doubt that, partly due to my own experience, and the general global dissatisfaction of them). Well, your pickups' role in affecting your tone is more prominent when you're using a tube amp, than a solid state. But it is noticeable in solid state amps as well, though not as much.

Well if you can get your hands on a Schecter C-1 Classic which are very good which can even sometimes be found under 600 but they are discontinued so you will have to go used.

I've been wanting a Fender American Tele for a while.

I checked out the '10 one.
I think its fantastic.
I'll test it out the next chance I get

Unfortunately I don't know a lot about guitars..
So uh.
I currently own a Floyd Rose, which I BELIEVE keeps the guitar in-tune for a longer period of time and is able to withstand big bends, etc.

Will the American Special Tele do the same as say..my Ibanez RG350DX? :S
