In your opinion what are the best and worst accents?

For me the best is either the Australian or Southern Ireland accent, and the worst by a country mile is the Northern Ireland accent

Liverpool. Eurgh.

Northern (English) and Irish accents are amazing I think
I live in the south on England so I can actually here Northerner's accents, like m'girlfriend's. So fit.
And I could listen to an irish person for hours.

Dude this thread was done just a few months ago.
But I guess since I'm already posting I'll tell you that I think the best is either an Irish accent, or Scottish accent.
The worst is a Chicagoan accent.

I hate being from Chicago.
IRISH_EDIT: I also think New york accents, and Jersey accents sound absolutely horrible.

Londoner accents..
Cause they sound so thick.
I like Irish really.
Australian is annoying
American can be both good or bad.
On playing the Paul Gilbert signature at the guitar store extensively, my missus sighed:
"Put it down now, It's like you love that guitar more than me!"
In Which I replied.
"Well it has got two F-Holes!"

Either you fucked up again, or your first sentence is pointless.

Worst - Northern accents, Scouse and Scottish especially. Oh, and Southern American accents are by far the worst.

Oh yeah? Well all you guys sound like dorks.

Anyway, my least favorite accent is probably that midwestern soccer mom accent, not sure if there's a real name for it... kind of like how Principal Victoria on South Park talks.

Best: Canadian or Italian

Worst: Probably my accent.

There are many different accents in America. Saying American accents are the worst would be like me saying the English accent is the worst.

From my understanding most of the kids across the pond take the southern drawl to be the "American" accent. Except it's really only spoken in certain parts of the American south.

On topic: The English accent is the worst.

EDIT: Actually it's quite funny seeing all these Americans going on about how there are many "American" accents, when it's usually them being asked what exactly a "British" accent is.

As the hollow men
The stuffed men.

I've heard some reallyyyy sour deep-wood Quebec accents. I'm french, I can understand any french dialect from regular Quebequer to acadian all the way to fancy-shmansy France and even haitian creole or whatever they call it. But man, up north, do they ever have some vile stuff cooking up there. I actually had to TRY to understand what they're saying.

Hard to describe, like... no,I can't explain it. The best I can say is that I think american accent(s) sound much more... natural. Grr its so annoying that I can't find words to describe how english sounds to me!

Some have said southern American, but I find it a turn on when southern women have that twang accent like in Tennessee, think Dolly Parton. And when a woman starts talking dirty sex with that accent.....oh yeah.

I personally don't like the Boston type accent. Think the Kennedy accent.

Watch the amount of people who are gonna come up with the ''english'' accent or the ''british'' accent without knowing that there are TONS of very noticeably different accents in the isles.

That is only my understanding from friends who live in England and studied abroad here, and made comments about it. Suppose I shouldn't generalize, but they all seemed to have the same idea.

Yeah, even if you say "Southern", people in Tennessee don't sound anything like people from, say, Texas. Think about it. Does Jed Clampett really sound anything like Hank Hill? I mean, I wouldn't say Jason Statham sounds like Winston Churchhill.
