Hello everyone. Both Hendrix as well as Frusciante play (or played) rhythm with a certain laid-back groove to it, owing to chord embellishments they add to standard barre chords. If you are interested in knowing how to do this then I have created a post that discusses this, including an example video. I discuss several ideas that both players employ that you can use to add to your own playing.

If you're interested, please have a look here http://www.theloneguitaristblog.com/beginner/jimi-hendrix-teach-rhythm-guitar/

Cheers,

It's a reply to a recent question on how to play Hendrix/Frusciante style rhythm. I thought it would be useful to a more general audience. Last thing I want is for it to come across as spam, so my apologies if it does to you, completely unintentional.

Ah, ok. It just seemed a little strange, out of context
