So i was in Guitar center yesterday and fell in love with an ibanez i was playing, i want to know more about the model, but stupidly i forgot what model it was...so i'm wondering if any one can help me out on this

It was around $700 but not exactly sure of the price
It had an orange ish "tiger stripe" type paint job
extremely thin fast neck, floyd rose type bridge..and humbucker-single coil-humbucker configuration

that's about all i know, does anyone know what model it is? I've been looking around online and have not been able to find a single ibanez in that paint scheme.

thanks for the help!

You CAN play anything with anything....but some guitars sound right for some things, and not for others. Single coils sound retarded for metal, though those who are apeshit about harpsichord probably beg to differ.

dude i was just at GC a few hours ago.
what you played was the NEW 46th anniversary S570 i believe? in a zebra wood top (as opposed to the traditional flamed or quilted top)

it's priced at 700. i'm 100% sure that's what you played. you lucky son of a bitch it's only available in selected GC stores and mine wasn't one of them...

after some quick browsing a couple of guitar companies are releasing limited edition guitars in honor of GC's 46th anniversary... including that S series guitar you played.,...

That sounds about right, i guess i am lucky..that guitar played so fast, i was amazed, faster Iron maiden solo sections that were harder to do on my explorer were effortless on that guitar.

oh well, i guess that was my only chance to buy it..and i don't have $700 right now ..guess it's back to saving up for a charvel

thanks everyone for the help!!

Not quite, that's the same basic look of the guitar in every way, but the paint isn't right

If you loved the Ibanez so much, why on earth are you going to disregard that and get a Charvel? It's not like that's the only Ibanez S in the world - they're really common, and all have the same exact feel. Don't make a decision you'll regret.

I tried one today in my local shop and it played nice. Made in Indonesia and it had some ugly yellow spots in the neckbindings but other than that it looked really good.

Yep that was it! thanks

ehm...GC? I've played one there. It was, to me, a lot like a "go faster" Strat.
