So, I was wondering about this:

I bought the album "Six Degrees of Inner Turbulence" (Dream Theater) off of iTunes a while back. (Gift cards.)

But all the songs were in 128 kb/s audio. This annoys me, as I love mah Dream Theater.

The question: Would it be illegal for me to torrent a higher audio quality version of the album, since I already bought the album?

(Don't care either way, I'm just wondering about this.)

As soon as the question is answered, the thread topic will be on llamas.

dwelling on past mishaps is for the weak. you must stride into the future, unabashed and prepared to fuck up yet again.

these bands that give a huge shit about illegal downloading should be thankful that people are paying attention to their stuff.

but yeah, it would be illegal, so do it now, before you cant.

pretty much this
It's still copyright infringement buy your isp most likely wont do jack unless the copyright holder specifically asks them to and usually then it's just a mildly threatening email or, god forbid, an actual letter in the post.
