so, ive been playing guitar for about 7 years now and i decided to make a guitar. I did, and it sounds fantastic! now i play with it all the time... but now... i want to make an amp but not from scratch this time... just for fun... so is it possible to combine a digitech RP200 or FAB distortion with a Peavey Rage 158? found all of these in a corner in my attic from when they were given to me as "bad" gifts.... just like, cut out the top of the amp place the effects processor in there, wire everything up and good to go?

So do you want to take out the preamp from the peavey, use preamp from the digitech, use the FAB as a distortion? So you'd only be using the power amp and speakers from the peavey?
Theoretically, yes. Realistically, it's a bit more complicated than you describe if you've never done any kind of amp modding. Also I can't imagine that sounding too great. You could build one from a kit if you've got a bit of a budget.
Are you sure your down for it? It's not as easy as soldering together a few wires... I don't know how but look around here for amp builds and that should help.
Also there's a rule against thread titles that don't describe the thread.
ok thanks after all... its just for fun.
