I'm just curious really. Give me some examples of bands where one of the guitarists is just way better than the other one.

Between the Buried and Me (Not saying dustie is bad, but paul is much better)
Heavenly
Wintersun
The Black Dahlia Murder
Check out my band Disturbed

Avenged Sevenfold (Syn just seems to better than Zacky)
Megadeth
Slayer (Jeff is the shizz)
Paul Gilbert when he's played with someone else (e.g. Racer X Second Heat)

well, considering both Vai and Satriani play with second guitarists, I'd say them.

Vai is much better than him, but Dave is pretty good aswell.

Old Sum 41. Deryck is an okay guitar player I guess, but Dave was just lightyears ahead of him, a lot more metal influenced too. On the one hand I'm glad Dave left so he could develop his playing more and better, but on the other hand the heavy element, which I liked a lot, of Sum 41 disappeared with him. Underclass Hero was just sh*t.

Wiener and MacAlpine? :/

I don't really like Vai though, so I may be biased.

For me, the 60's ended that day in 1978...

Actually, Bruce wasn't half bad, it wasn't light years difference. More of a "I'm better than you but I don't run laps around you" type of comparison.

Metallica. James>Kirk.

Also Firewind.

James is a great rhythm player, and wouldnt say he was lightyears behind Kirk.

And Gus G. is the only guitarist in firewind.

I'm not sure to be honest, Malcolm Young is the brains and main writer of the band, Angus seems more like the diva, I'm sure Malcolm is just as capable a guitar player as Angus tbh.

The point of underground bands is their not popular or famous most of the time. Thus there is a good chance they suck.

^Eh, Izzy was a decent rhythm player, and Slash isn't exactly technically brilliant.
