my spider iv 120 i just got it and when i turn it up to bout 6 it starts to get shaky and blanks out on me its only at 6 could it do with distortion or fuzz i was using clean its fine

And there's your problem. They're horrendously unreliable. It's probably the amp's software not being able to handle something. Return it and get a new (different) amp. A Peavey Vypyr 75 will probably work for you and it's both louder and cheaper.
