A few months ago I snagged a second hand 1992 gibson explorer for £550 with a hard case, but I'm considering selling it to get an ex-401 for £578. The gibsons action is fairly bad; still quite buzzy with high action and emg 81/60 are something i'd like.

so what are your views on these guitars? is the ltd good?

i thought the action on a newish explorer i tried was the best iv ever tried!! but that was in the last year so im not sure :/ i think the ltd is good. a lot of bands use them so i guess so :P

Wow..."Korean Toy"

Elitists are the best

Of course TS should keep the Gibson, get it set up, and replace the pickups.

But an LTD 400 series is FAR from being a toy.

If TS ends up liking the LTD neck more than the Gibson, I'd say only a used ESP explorer would compare.

When I bought my LP studio I thought there was something wrong with it because the setup was out of whack. I felt uncomfortable because the price was so low, but bought it anyway. Anyway I had it setup and now its the nicest guitar I own next to my SG
