What's a good guitar for playing from like alternative to metalcore?
My budget would be like 300 the highest. I mostly play metalcore, but I do go up to standard to play some My Chemical Romance songs, or any other songs in standard.

I'm looking at an Ibanez RGA 32 right now. The only guitar I've ever played on was a cheapy Ibanez Gio that I own. My amp is a Crate GX-15.

EDIT: I'm not really educated much in the different kind of pick ups or bridges or anything. I just play haha. Any who I've decided on a guitar. An Ibanez RG2EX1.

....

Well for starters Screamo is a type of "sing"-ing.

We'll need some more info.

Are you looking to buy or are you just asking?
If you are buying:
Trem or not?
BUDGET??????????
Active vs passive pickups?
What amp are you playing though? (This will affect tone more than guitar will)
22 or 24 frets?
Shapes you're for or against?

If you're worried about the sound it's not the guitar that's the problem it's the amp.

I'd say a Peavey 6505 combo will handle metalcore real nice.

seriously, this is one of the crappest and vague-est questions I've ever seen.

I think the Raw Power guitars look like badly painted Easter Eggs.

I'm not a very technical person when it comes to guitars and I typed this in a rush, I apologize.
I'm a bit of a beginner anyways.
I edited some more information in it. Once again I apologize for not putting hardly any information.

I should've quoted the OP....

The original post was something along the lines of:

"Whats the best guitar for metalcore?" That was it.

I assumed he knew a bit considering he's a December 2009 member.
If you look at the time of my post and the time of his edit maybe some common sense would clue in?

Anyway.

TS, $300 can get you a decent guitar, but it may or may not be geared towards metalcore.

You should go to a shop and try some Epiphones, Squiers, LTDs, Ibanez guitars in your price range. This is just for you yourself to get a feel of different guitars. Because if you don't know what you like then you might end up buying a guitar that you dislike the feel of in a year.

Since you own an Ibanez Gio you may be more used to Ibanez necks. (not sure what gio necks are like)

This is my favorite budget Ibanez

It's a hardtail bridge (no whammy bar) which is good for people who are new or haven't done much in terms of setting up guitars.

Please note that all the guitars I post need to be tried out by you before you make a purchase. Since we can't comment on what neck shape is the best for you.

How ironic, I decided on this guitar a minute or two before I checked for replies on my post haha.

I looked at the OP, that's a good choice.

(Get it in white. Since everyone and their grandmother has a black superstrat of some sort IMO.)
