hey all i'm looking into basses... i want to get some cheap practice kind of deal,

so whats a good bass guitar to get that works and sounds ok with a budget of $150.00 just something for me to diddle with and learn beatles tunes.

^no. You really need a bass amp. For several reasons.

1. Guitar amps are not set up to handle bass. Crank it, and you run the risk of blowing the speaker.
2. You won't get the best tone and it will sound awful.

Get a KBA10 (Kustom). They are relatively cheap, loud and perfect for messing about and bedroom practice. I've seen them used for under 35 USD.

you WILL NOT find a better starter bass than the Ibanez GSR200

$200, but like all Ibanez guitars, the quality far surpasses the price

um i'm over by 58th and garrison, i frequent the kings over on 58th and independance, and now the one on 64th. so idk, also that park where the old rec center used to be... the guitar center on sheridan

i'm pretty new to guitar, and i don't even have a bass yet, i want to try to get one this weekend, we could still hang and go to guitar center, do you know eric, he's kind of older that dude is awesome.

I know him, I talked to him yesterday. My DigiTech Whammy crapped out, so I have to send it in for refund or a replacement

so i decided to just borrow my friends rouge bass, this way i can try out a bass, and try to learn some licks, and tabs and such to make sure i even like the bass before i get one. he doesn't ever use it so it's all good...

LOL dude it's a rouge they probablly go for $100 new, i found the same one at music go round used for $62.39

if i like it i will consider trading the six string i'm restoring at the moment.
