when i move my whammy bar i hear squeaking/creaking noises coming from my guitar. i can hear the sound coming from every point along the strings which doesnt seem to make sense.

has anyone else experienced this problem? how do i fix it?

It's probably the springs in the back.

Somebody can probably give a better idea of what to do, but try oiling them or replacing them?
I have a ponytail fetish.
..And a labcoat fetish. SCIENCE!

Is your PRS a PRS or an SE. If it's an SE it's probably the strings binding in the nut.

try lubricating the nut, graphite pencil shavings work in a pinch. have you recently changed string gage? also, remove the back plate behind the guitar, the square one the trem is under and test it again. see if you can tell if it's coming from the bridge, nut or both. report back.
I wondered why the frisbee was getting bigger, then it hit me.

Yeah have you went up in string guage? Usually SE nuts will bind, but you rarely see a USA model with a poorly cut nut.

or older strings can do that, even if the gage hasn't changed. it may just need a little graphite, or new strings.
