Okay guys, I have a confession to make. Not really a confession since it's something that's been bugging me for awhile but I've always been in denial about it.

**** you gilly, it's not what you think

It is gay to have interest in to particular brands. I did the math in my head, so it should be accurate.

Or is it because you cant afford it?

I could if i wanted to, but when I see someone wearing expensive clothes casually I just immediately think 'douche'. It's different if you only wear them for special occasions, then it's ok.

Not gay no, but I must say that certain clothes often gives you a "stamp" wether(sp?) you like it or not...

If I was rich I would buy expensive ass clothes, hell who wouldn't.

But I wouldn't buy the kind of crap that says "Look at me, I never had to work a day in my life for this" just like I don't wear clothes that say "look at me, I'm and rugged and paid 50 bucks for a t-shirt that makes me look like I actually work for a living"

But that's just me.

It's not gay, obviously, but it's lazy.
Wearing brand clothes doesn't make you stylish, it just makes you look a bit rich, and too lazy to invest too much time in your appearance.
Way I see it, wearing branded clothes is a bit of a copout, like somehow wearing a black t-shirt is common compared to wearing a black t-shirt that says 'armani' on the front.

Branded clothes don't necessarily look good, they just look expensive... but then from this thread, that seems like it's what you're going for *shrugs*

Expensive clothes that should be expensive (like a nice suit)--- is very different than buying expensive "ordinary" clothes-- like T-shirts, track suit, jeans, etc.

It isn't necessarily gay---douchebaggery has done well at allowing men to care about clothes without appearing gay... or at least to display very expensive, very bad taste.

Personally, I find it absurd to pay £100s for an Armani T-shirt, for example (the real deal- not some shirt that just has the logo). But it is also absurd to go around advertising clothing brands--- hence the douchebaggery. Then again, it is your money.

why the hair do you care about brands? just get what looks nice. A shirt is a friggin shirt, be it from armani or wal-mart

Depends solely on the clothes you're wearing, now if you cared about that new D&G dress you were wearing then I would be worried.

It's not gay to care about your appearance, it's a sign of integrity. However some brands are needlessly expensive, you can find nice clothes without going branded or spending huge amounts of money
