Alright so i've seen quite a few vids of James with his variax on a walk up type stand. Ive searched and searched and cant find one to fit a variax(which i own). I would like to know what brand and model he uses but i cant find that anywhere either. I need one that has the slant so i can have another (electric) guitar on me ready to play. Any help is appretiated! Thanks!

I'll have to put the Classic T models on my to-try list. Shame the finish options there are Anachronism Gold, Nuclear Waste and Aged Clown, because in principle the plaintop is right up my alley.

Presumably because the CCF (Combined Corksniffing Forces) of MLP and Gibson forums would rise up against them, plunging the land into war.

I was expecting a signature guitar stand, and was going to be very depressed at what the world is coming to, but I guess they're saving that to put Zakk Wylde's name on it...

Cool looking double guitar holder thingy though.

That's an amusing thought.

It's the thing posted a few posts above me.

You CAN play anything with anything....but some guitars sound right for some things, and not for others. Single coils sound retarded for metal, though those who are apeshit about harpsichord probably beg to differ.

See, that's like the one i found but i need one with a slant so i have room for another guitar. I dont mind the price because i knew they were expensive. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hTc-3J6yQFk
That is a vid of him playing with one. It needs to be able to hold the thin variax acoustic.
What brand is this?

Wait, why won't that one work? It looks like the clamps are adjustable for guitars of different sizes, it'd be retarded if they weren't. And as for the angle, why don't you just put the other guitar behind your back?

Well, they do adjust, but not to the less than 2 inches the variax is. And the songs I will be playing require switching faster than i could get my guitar from behind my back.

Ahhh, well I guess the question now is: Will it really be worth it to go through all the trouble of the acoustic guitar stand, rather than just switching between clean and dirty on your electric?

I get your point. I just like the option. It gives certain things a more natural feel (the acoustic guitar) Its a little more crowd pleasing if they see the switching.trust me, i see the simplicity and ease of just the electric, but its just not the same.
#12
This is true, but you've also got to deal with the feedback from your other guitar, I'm sure Hetfield has someone backstage muting it so it doesn't go crazy when he's playing acoustic.
