I have a schecter blackjack atx with seymour duncan "blackouts" and a randall half stack.

For some reason whenever I switch to the neck pickup or the neck/bridge setting there is a constant static sound. It's not a popping sound or buzz/hum but it sounds like static you would hear when you switch your tv to a "dead" channel.

If I play anything the static goes away, but fades back in as the sound of the guitar fades out.

Is this something I need to look into? Are the pickups just working too well and I need a noise suppressor?

Any feedback is welcome.

Thanks
