bullshit, if your guitar isnt properly grounded you will notice A LOT of extra noise. and it will sound like shit.

if you cant notice any noise you must be playing with no distortion and the amp turned down all the way

edit- or internally grounded active pickups.

i was thinking that he took the ground wire that connects the bridge to the pot out.

in that case, yea there should be a shit load of noise.

he's probably talking about a bridge ground wire.

grounding the bridge also grounds the strings. that way when you are touching the strings (playing it) the residual noise is further reduced.
