as title says..

there is a schecter diamond series MIA telecaster, 72' styled... twin humbucker etc..

it sounds lovely on paper...

BUT

is it decent? or just a flash in the pan?

Are you sure it's MIA? I thought the Diamond series were all made in the far east.

Don't let that discourage you, though. While I haven't tried that particular model, I've tried a bunch of schecters and I'm happy with their quality. They're consistent and good value for money.

ahah, maybe i have been deceived, it says made in america and has a pic of the plate on the back of the neck with schecter etc...

any idea how much these are worth?

Schecter PT Fastback, not a bad guitar, but I hate the pickups in it personally. I'd get the regular PT which has the Schecter Super Rock II pickups, which are absolutely wonderful. Guitar should be worth around 3-400 bucks, depending on condition. They usually go for 549 if I'm not mistaken.

This is not made in the USA for sure. I believe the seller is going by the neck plate which has the address of schecters HQ but does not specify it was made in the USA. I'm also pretty sure everyone saying the diamond series is made in asia is correct. As far as I know the only schecters made in burbank are the schecter custom shop guitars and there are worth thousands easily. Custom shop schecters are clearly marked as custom shop schecters so I believe your looking at a great deal on a probably korean made tele. Hope this helps.

Edit: Looked it up on wikipedia and the diamond series has always been an import series, never USA made.

I've owned a few schecter guitars and the korean built ones always felt top notch. Very solidly built and had great tone. I would definitely recommend schecter.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with Korean built guitars, if I was to buy an import I would prefer it came from Korea vs any other country

You CAN play anything with anything....but some guitars sound right for some things, and not for others. Single coils sound retarded for metal, though those who are apeshit about harpsichord probably beg to differ.

The Schecter Diamond series are all made in Korea - I have a mahogany PT and it's built like a tank, great guitar.
