Hey, can anyone tell me if the saddle (thing that holds the strings in place near the neck) is supposed to be glued in on the Dean VX? I was gonna take all the strings off mine so I could clean it and it came off so I'm not sure what I need to do with it. Thank you in advance.

Near the neck? That's the nut and yes it should be glued in place.

I have never made a nut repair at home. From what I read on the topic, some wood glue should do the trick. Either that or have it repaired professionally.

It should be glued down, I would take it to have it fixed by someone who knows what there doing if you aren't sure about how to fix it. Also if you just put all the strings back on the nut wont move once the strings are at tension.
