Ok heres a little rant.

I hear from guitarists all the damn time that squier strats cant do metal, yet my crappy (shouldnt call it that, my squier might get mad) 80 dollar pawnshop squier does metal just fine. they claim the pups are too weak, and SC pups cant handle distortion. i think any guitar (if the player knows what theyre doing) can do metal, easily.
this just kind of annoys me, that people pass this off as fact with nothing to really back it up.
what do you all think? have you ever used a squier for metal, or other heavy styles of music?

i have a Strat-model guitar and i play metallica with it, though i do alot more Pink Floyd stuff but i handles it fine IMO.
Gotta keep my eyes from the circling skies...
