Hey guys, I'm after an electric acoustic. I mainly want it to play folk and blues, so I guess a mellower sound.
here are my desired specs:
cutaway
up to $500 (will go used)
natural or sunburst finish
pref. dreadnought style.
i don't know a lot about woods, so i'm hoping you'd be able to decide which would wood suit me based on the genres above.
much thanks.

Seagulls are where it's at. Best bang for the buck out there, and you can even get an acoustic-electric used. I got my Seagull S6 CW for $225, and you can definitely find similar ones for <$400. As for wood, maybe mahogany or cedar? Idk much about tonewoods, but generally once you play something you'll know if it's what you're looking for.

Seagulls are good acoustics. If you're lucky you might find a good used Martin in your price range.
