This one is a bit of a continuation of my last one, Mira, hence the similar themes/tones. As usual, this is just a first draft, so any criticism is appreciated. I realise the title is perhaps a bit pretentious, but it's the only one I could think of at the time! I don't like the last 2 lines of the third stanza, so any suggestions would be great.

And She Becomes The Sky

Polarity ending as the distance defies
This delicate ascension for empty eyes.
And cubicle horizons softly echo in time,
The sounds of abandon as she takes to flight.

And she becomes the sky,
As he explodes into
a million pieces of light.
Her sweet surrender
For his stolen kiss,
To tell him that she never wanted this.

The cold embrace of this convention,
When all we've known is growing old.
If you stop to breathe a while you'll notice
All you were missing was yourself.

And she becomes the sky,
As he explodes into
a million pieces of light.
Her sweet surrender
For his stolen kiss,
To tell him she that never wanted this.

Porcelain heart's burst out ivory chest's,
To spill the words from cherry lips.
And she'll barter this love for all he has,
To watch the tide creep in a little while.

And she becomes the sky,
As he explodes into
a million pieces of light.
Her sweet surrender
For his stolen kiss,
To tell him she that never wanted him.
And all the time I'm thinking, "If I only had a pair of wings".
