The Roland MicroCube can run on 6 AA batteries and has strap buttons. Go for that.

Do you want other people to be able to hear it too? If not just get a Vox Amplug. They are pretty cool, they have an mp3 player input too.

I have the Marshall. It's pretty damn good at what it was designed to do. My only complaint is that the battery part seems like it was designed by a retard. A jostle can knock the battery and make it break contact, so you have to push it back in. Usually only happens with a hard knock though - mine only does it when it falls off the table (read: when I knock if off the table with my guitar because it's frustrating as **** to use when it's not on your belt )
