Oh god this thread made my day. I tried hard as hell to hold it in, but...damit, this is hilarious. Anyway, TS, odds are like most models, a wrench from a similar S series Ibanez should do the trick. If you can't find one of those, try one of these;

http://www.google.com/products/catalog?q=allen+wrench&hl=en&cid=7611866925296073966&ei=VP1_TK6ODpngygWHn63xDg&sa=title&ved=0CGIQ8wIwCTgA#p

Not sure if it'll work perfect, but I don't see why it shouldn't.

I agree totally with you. This gave me a good laugh. And yeah, what other guys have said, there should definitely be an allen wrench for your truss rod somewhere.

it's probably some alan wrench that you can pick up in some tool shop.

duh you can buy a complete ibanez toolkit for not alot of cash (assuming it`s for your szr)

speak to your local ibanez dealer they can and should order you a full toolkit (don`t think they sell off individual wrenches)

and complete your profile so that when you ask questions pertaining to your gear we can see what you`ve got.

IMO, playing an instrument but not bothering to learn anything about it is irresponsible.

If you're truly into playing guitar, then you need to learn as much as you can about it, including how to set it up and the terms so you can clearly communicate what you want and thus, won't get responses like you did in this thread.

no `cos the truss rod adjustment tool isn`t a allen key.......see my previous post

funny allen wrenches are what i suggested and allen wrenches are what you posted.
i have owned countless guitars and basses over the years, and every one of them used an allen wrench to adjust the truss rod. every site i have ever seen about adjusting truss rods say to use an allen wrench. every guitar tech i have ever dealt with used allen wrenches. the one luthier i know uses allen wrenches to adjust truss rods.

now your telling me that an allen wrench is the wrong tool to use?

Yes, it is, at least on an Ibanez.
If you look properly at the picture he posted, the bottom tool is not an allan wrench, and it is the truss rod tool.

By the way, TS, recommendation with the new tools; Get some velcro tape, put the prickly side on the back of the headstock, wrap some of the fuzzy side around part of the tool, and keep it on the back of the headstock. Simple and effective.
