Well i think the best thing to do is try learning a simple song you like and make it your goal to play it. It would help to just grind scales and work on different techniques(you can find a lot on youtube or wherever) but it may get very boring since it requires a lot of time to progress. So have an ambition to play an enjoyable and easy song and keep working at it but also put some time in learning proper ways of playing if you get stumped on certain parts. And don't ever doubt yourself, it takes time.
