So I'm getting pretty annoyed with my guitar. When I'm playing on the bridge pick-up and I touch the pick up of the 6th string I get a loud buzz, this is a problem because when I'm playing lead, I rest my hand there. Also I notice that it has a bit of rust on it (I bought it used) so maybe I need to take that off somehow. Any other recommendations?

Grounding issue. Look inside and make sure all the wires are attached. What guitar is it?

some semi-cheap guitar called a Cort. I actually have no complaints about the guitar besides that, the tone is decent the neck skinny and it's lightweight basswood. But yeah by inside you mean the back? It's a strat type guitar so it does have a normal trem.

Are the pickups mounted in a pickguard, or are they in the wood? How many plates are there in the back, and where are they?
