I know the more recent ones are supposed to be crap, but from what I hear the older american made crate tube amps are real gems.

It sounds great to me, especially for the price you can probably get one for.

Anyone had experience with these amps?

The previous gen also had some made overseas, but those ones are as good as the MIA ones. Entirely different beasts than the new ones.

get a cheap marshall... my MG15DFX has a button that simulates the sound of one of the expensive tube marshall amps.

why are you asking....these seem to be in a different ballpark than where you were before :shug:

Haha, I would like a JCM 800 again eventually. I just realize how unnecessary one of those is right now for me, plus the one i was sold is a piece of junk. So now I am looking for more of a practice tube amp that will suffice for small to medium gigs and for practices.

I am personally more interested in a Tweaker atm

the vintage club crates are hidden gems. they can be found cheap, and have great tone.

especially the ones with the tone tubby speaker.

VC3112t is the actual model, not V3112t, for search purposes.
