Hello UG

I Have a problem with my guitar; the tone knob is very easy to adjust, i barely need to touch it to turn it down, meaning when i turn down i volume and hit the tone knob slightly, it turns all the way down.. like .. there is no resistance when turning it.

So how do i tighten it, so that it is not so easy to adjust?

Hope u understand what i mean=P

you mean the pot itself spins on and off easily?

buy a new pot and rewire it i guess... i dont think you can tighten that.

No i mean that the knob spinds around very fast, there is nothing wrong with it in that sense.. it is just a very fast knob.. but can i adjust that?

Not without opening the pot and shimming the wiper so it presses harder on the trace. I've had good results with a thin piece of felt, but it's a bitch to do properly. I recommend you just get a new pot.
