So I have a track for a dubstep song that consists of just some simple sub bass. The lower notes sound fantastic but when the higher notes come in the volume just becomes untolerable. How would I go about compressing this so that the volumes work out nice and even ???

the track is in my profile titled sub bass

The volume seems fine to me with those ones :S

I would hit it hard with a C4 or any good multiband compressor.
I've bought, sold, and traded more gear than I care to admit.

EQ?

There is never any point in normalizing a track-- if it "needs" normalization, it really needs to be re-recorded.
