I might get a delay pedal for my birthday this month, and I've been looking at the Boss DD7. This one in particular I have great interest in because of how long of a recording time it has.

However, the DD6's are a lot cheaper, since DD7's still often go over $100 used.

So basically, can anyone tell me what the differences are between the 6 and the 7, if any?

The DD7 has an external tap tempo jack which makes setting the delay time easier. It also has 40 sec of loop time whereas the DD6 only has about 5 secs.
The DD7 also has an "analog" mode which a lot of people like.
If you don't care about those things just get the DD6.

The main reason I'm looking at the Boss is because of the loop time, so I guess I have to get the 7.

Otherwise, I'd just get a Hardwire DL-8, but that one only has about 28 secs, I believe.

Thanks a lot for that.
