ok so ive been playing for like three years now and feel like ive over shot alot of stuff, i jumped right into the thick of it and learned master of puppets and stuff like it and completely ignored the foundations like chords etc, so i working my way back to the begining and what im asking for is if you guys can give me a few strum along songs to learn, some ones that will help with chords and stuff, cheers for the help

I agree with him. If I wanted help on chords, I wouldn't automatically go to one with strange chords, I'd start with major/minor, augmented and suspended, and work from there.
