So I've been messing with this Egnater Tweaker and I can get some awesome low to mid gain tones on the clean channel. But it seems when I turn the switch to hot, it doesn't sound as nice. As if it chops off the higher frequencies and boosts the lower ones instead of just adding gain to what is already there.

How can you EQ the amp to make the hot tones usable?

I voiced my opinion on the Tweaker sounding dark and muddy with the gain and got a lot of opposition to that statement. I use mine clean with pedals and it sounds great. But the gain tones are a bit gnarly. I could see it being useful for some styles, but the amp IMO is not as tweakable as the name suggests.

I still like it, but would not be a thrilled without distortion pedals.
