It's all a matter of context,
your environment's failing now;
all the relatives are dying,
as we theoretically hit the ground.

The passengers and crew are one,
everyone's bailing out;
and yet I still have one last question,
how'd we lose what we never found?

Whatever makes us richest,
it's always worked in the past;
I fear our alibis
were never built to last.

Whatever goes down quickest,
it's always worked in the past;
we're living much too slowly,
and dying much too fast.

Let's forget every battle,
and learn to love the way we've fought;
let's take this world by storm,
with a brand new brand of thought.

I may not be a genius,
but I'm pure, I'm self taught;
in every act I've made,
and every second I've bought.

Whatever makes us richest,
it's always worked in the past;
I fear our alibis
were never built to last.

Whatever goes down quickest,
it's always worked in the past;
we're living much too slowly,
and dying much too fast.

I really like this piece actually, it's got a really good theme. Sounds a lot like something linkin park would play, but the early linkin park, so it's meaningful and very flow.
The only thing I have to say against this piece is that it's too short. Once it was over, I actually started reading your sig cause I wanted more :P maybe one or two more verses.
It's really good, but also, really short.
8/10, keep writing

Twasn't finished, hence the "WIP" in the title.

I've updated it, with what may be the finished version.
