My dad was in a band over 15 years ago and played drum, he had to sell his 15 years ago for expenses. Yesterday he bought a $1000+(he bought it for 500 though :P ) pearl drum set. I'm so happy, and he is not rusty. Its got the 2 rack toms, floor tom, chrome remo snare, bass drum(of course), 1 big crash, 2 medium crashes, 1 ride, hi hat, cowbell, and jam block. (Zildjian symbols too)

any one know where to learn metal drumming or drumming in general for a beginner?

metal drumming? that's easy, just double bass and blast beat as fast as you can, that's all there is to it.
There's no such thing; there never was. Where I am going you cannot follow me now.
