Just thought I'd get some advice on what's decent etc.
I have around £100 to spend on a USB recording device, which will be used for recording Bass, and a bit of Guitar.

I was looking at the Line 6 POD Studio UX1 but wanted to know if it was worth the money to buy this, or if there was better around for roughly the same price. I've never owned one before, so I'm clueless as to what's good and what's not; so some pointers would be greatly appreciated here.

I also found the Line 6 POD Studio UX2 for £40 more (£130) but is it worth the extra £40, or would it be a waste of money?

There's not a whole lot in that price range. I suggest checking out M-Audio.

I also suggest posting in the Recording Forum:

the pod ux1 is apparently better than the ux2 due to it has phantom power
but podfarm isn't actually great for recording bass or atleast not as far as i've found
but for guitar it is really useful
