i have a Trace Elliot Speed Twin that was made in the UK, its a really awesome amp, and it was made before Gibson got their hands on them and turned them into a shitty budget line or whatever they did to them.

its all tube with an accutronics reverb tank (i am not sure if the reverb is tube driven or not) and it rattles obnoxiously, i putting foam under it, and that didn't help the rattling. the only think i can do is pull it out of the back and set it on the ground behind it and have reverb. which is a pain pulling out an 80lb tube amp stacked on a bass amp to remove the tank.

i will search for schematics.

so can i remove it?

Usually reverb tanks are connected to the amp via RCA jacks. They just unplug.

Though youll have to open up the amp.

i can get to them from the back. i just didn't know if the reverb was tube driven and i was going to blow something if i turned the amp on with the tank unplugged.

turn the reverb down?

Im pretty sure hes on about the springs in the tank rattling. Which wouldnt make a difference if he turned it down.

Youll prolly need some longer RCA cables though. Some female -> male ones.

oh, well that's why i dont deal with reverb in my amps.

if there is an RCA connector, you can yank it off most of the time. if it's connected permanently... you can cut it at your own risk.
