I was digging through ye old parts drawer and I realized that I had DiMarzio EVO in there. I want to drop it in one of my guitars but the lead is ridiculously short and theres no way it will reach. Is there anything I can do? I MIGHT be able to solder some wire onto them to extend it but if I can't is there anything else I can do or is this pretty much useless?

Please don't tell me I'm the only one that clicked this thread thinking I would learn how to make my guitar sound like a grizzly bear.

Just solder on a longer section of wire. Put some shrink tube over the solder joint. Problem solved. The only time you might run into problems is if a pickup wire is the type where the ground is a wire mesh tube around the hot wire. If it's just a single wire then no problem just extend it.

If the cable has a shield over the wire, just solder the inner wire, heatshrink it, then tie the shields together.
