ok... so the good thing about having strats is that finding a new neck is relatively easy
but are most fender strat bodies compatible with most strat necks?

mine is a MIM standard, 21 fret. Most aftermarket necks are 22 frets and are made to be compatible with MIA strats.

If i buy a neck that's made to be compatible with a MIA strat, would it fit without any problem?

I'm talking about the dimension of the neck pocket and any potential scale issues due to the number of frets

any advice will be appreciated

thanks guys

Warmoth makes 21 fret neck IIRC,and I'm pretty sure the neck pocket on strats is standard across the board, but don't take my word for it.

I'm pretty sure Pr0gNut is right, 22 fret Strats have the fretboard overhanging to allow for the 22nd fret, the 21 fret necks are the same, just without the overhang.
That said, I'm not much of a Strat guy, the MIM and MIA might be different, but I don't think they are.
