Was there an effect on your voice? I couldn't tell for sure but something sounded out of place... also I think it would be waaay better if you transposed it to a higher key and sang it to where you're starting to push your voice harder. The 12-string was nice but I think for that song it doesn't really fit. Just my opinion, take it or leave it.

You need to sing with a bit more force. I agree 100% with MortifiedLizard. If you listen to the original, Chad Kroeger has a very rough sounding voice, maybe this is something you aim for?
